Happy Holidays

The Bell Tower of the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem

Christmas Bells

I heard the bells on Christmas Day
Their old, familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet
The words repeat
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!

And thought how, as the day had come,
The belfries of all Christendom
Had rolled along
The unbroken song
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!

Till ringing, singing on its way,
The world revolved from night to day,
A voice, a chime,
A chant sublime
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!

Then from each black, accursed mouth
The cannon thundered in the South,
And with the sound
The carols drowned
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!

It was as if an earthquake rent
The hearth-stones of a continent,
And made forlorn
The households born
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!

And in despair I bowed my head;
"There is no peace on earth," I said;
"For hate is strong,
And mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!"

Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:
"God is not dead, nor doth He sleep;
The Wrong shall fail,
The Right prevail,
With peace on earth, good-will to men."

- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, 1863

Found this on Christopher Bollyn's website this morning. It's about as close as I've come to having any of the old fashioned Christmas spirit this year. Not saying I didn't have a good time with the kids and grandkids, cause I did, but I think their joy of the holiday is what really counted.

Anyways, thanks to the old truth seeker, I feel better, and I'm ready for another New Year. Hope this New Year brings peace, harmony, and love to y'all in 2010...G:

Obama Administration Diverts Small Business Funds to General Dynamics, According to the American Small Business League.

Small business loans? They go to the Military Industrial Complex!

The Free Library

Obama Administration Diverts $28.5 Million in Small Business Dollars to General Dynamics General Dynamics Corporation (NYSE: GD) is a defense conglomerate formed by mergers and divestitures, and as of 2006 it is the sixth largest defense contractor in the world. The company has changed markedly in the post-Cold War era of defense consolidation.

Dec. 9, 2009

PETALUMA, Calif. -- The following is a statement by the American Small Business League:
Obama Administration Diverts Small Business Funds to General Dynamics, According to the American Small Business League.

The Obama Administration has awarded a $28.5 million small business contract to Fortune 500 firm General Dynamics. As America's fourth largest prime contractor, General Dynamics did more than $29.3 billion in sales during fiscal year (FY) 2008 and maintains more than 92,000 employees. http://www.asbl.com/documents/20091202GeneralDynamics_Created_20091027.pdf

In May of 2009, Congressman Hank Johnson (D-4-GA) introduced H.R. 2568, the Fairness and Transparency in Contracting Act. If passed the bill would halt the flow of federal small business contracts to large businesses and redirect more than $100 billion a year in federal infrastructure spending to legitimate small businesses. Although the bill has bipartisan support with 19 co-sponsors, to date President Obama has refused to endorse the legislation.

Defence bill allows $6.8 billion for 30 F-35 Joint Strike Fighters

The defense bill is the last of 12 annual spending bills that Congress must pass for the budget year that began Oct. 1. The bill passed the House on Wednesday by 395-34. Senate inaction, while not likely, could force the Pentagon to shut down programs.

Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton urged immediate passage because the latest stopgap measure to fund the Pentagon expired at midnight Friday. "Passage today will provide important support for our foreign policy and national security priorities and ensure continuity of funding for our troops in combat and for all of the Department of Defense," they said.

The bill contains $104 billion for weapons procurement. It has $6.8 billion for 30 F-35 Joint Strike Fighters while providing $465 million to develop an alternative engine for that plane.

And, of course Israel already has 25 F-35's on order, but will install their own electromagnetic technology. Hmm...G:

"Can you bring a gunship to Kirtland?"

22 May 2006

That's how Rudy Martinez got involved in laser weapons. Martinez, then an operations officer, got permission to fly an AC-130 to Kirtland AFB, N.M., where the man who called showed him a classified weapon that would, he said, "revolutionize the gunship": a chemical laser. The laser was as big as the plane, Martinez recalls.

The caller was one of the inventors of the chemical oxygen-iodine laser, and the year was 1977. Today, Martinez is a deputy branch chief at the Air Force Research Laboratory's Directed Energy Directorate, and runs a simulation center that demonstrates directed-energy and laser weapons on tactical aircraft. While the chemical laser is still not deployed, Martinez remains a proponent of directed energy.

------------------------------------------------

Northrop Grumman, working at its Space Technology Sector in Redondo Beach, Calif., combined multiple low-power beams to form one powerful laser. The design uses a yttrium-aluminum garnet as the lasing material and combines it with a master oscillating power amplifier, which takes a low-power beam and amplifies it in stages. Beam combining allows Northrop Grumman to scale up power. For the second phase of the program, Northrop Grumman assembled two laser chains consisting of four gain modules, each on 5 X 12-ft. optical benches.

------------------------------------------------
"I think you'll see a solid-state laser on some version of a fighter aircraft," remarks Martinez at the Air Force Research Laboratory. But he adds that solid-state lasers may be just a "stepping-stone" to a tactical laser capable of being outfitted on the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. "Fiber lasers, I believe, are the future," he says, noting their potential to reduce size significantly over current lasers

By David Crane

September 7, 2008

Laser warfare may be closer than we think. Danger Room and Gizmodo both report that Northrop Grumman is promising the U.S. military that it will have working, deployable weapons-grade solid-state, electric lasers (tactical lasers) ready to go by the end of 2008. Solid-state electric lasers have been making progress under DoD’s Joint High-Powered Solid State Laser (JHPSSL) project. However, as enticing as the idea of flash-cooking enemy soldiers may be, we’ve still got a little ways to go via solid-state electric tactical laser power output and efficiency.

So, what’s the power threshold? 100 kilowatts (100 kW), and Northrop promises it can hit that mark. That’s apparently the magic number for knocking enemy mortars and rockets out of the sky. Northrop’s solution is a…

Death-Star-style laser configuration where multiple small lasers are combined to create a relatively large, powerful 100kW "laser chain" beam. The company’s latest publicly-disclosed achievement is a 30 kW laser beam that ran for 5+ minutes continually and 40+ minutes total, and achieved electrical-to-optical efficiency of greater than 19%. Bob Bishop, a Northrop Grumman spokesman, recently made the following statement to Defense Daily: "We are completely confident we will meet the 100 kW of power level and associated beam quality and runtime requirements of the JHPSSL Phase 3 program by the end of December, 2008."

UFO's & Exotic Weapons @ WTC Disaster?

Hat truss

Can you imagine the energy that it would take to remove this massive construction. It couldn't have been there when the antenna fell or it wouldn't have been in free fall. Was the hat truss in freefall? I think not.

The fourth primary structural subsystem in each tower was the hat truss -- a lattice of large diagonal I-beams that connected the perimeter walls to the core structure between the 107th floor and roof. This structure was also known as the "outrigger truss system."

This may all be pretty far fetched, and I suppose that it only gives the gubmint Shills another opportunity to call all this a conspiracy theory, but there is evidence here that shows up in many videos. What it shows is that there were UFO's "unidentified flying objects" in many of them, in fact you can see the same ones from many angles.
I don't have the froggiest idea what they are or why they are, but they are there if you slow the videos down enough to see them.

The reason that I've been following this is that I want know the truth, and see a real investigation into what really happened. Anyways, here is some of the evidence that might just be too far out to ever reach the investigation that many of us seek.
Actually, it is pretty damning that the gubmint has spent $20 million on an elaborate cover up by the NIST, meaning that the whole thing is way to heavy to ever be in the main stream media or the courts of this once great nation.

This is a video that I did on window video. I'm still learning how to do this, but at least found out how to do slo'mo. I did this one before I found Alfons videos, and so was kinda surprised to see the same UFO from a different angle.

You can find me on Youtube at wordgeezer

I once met a metal worker that worked on the clean up, who told me that his life changed when he saw the rubble, or mainly lack there-of. One of the things that he said was that "the building never hit the ground".

Ramfjordmoen, EISCAT, & spiral anolamies in Norway

The European Incoherent Scatter Scientific Association (EISCAT) operates an ionospheric heating facility, capable of transmitting over 1 GW effective radiated power (ERP), near Tromsø in Norway.

EISCAT is an acronym for the European Incoherent Scatter Scientific Association. It operates three incoherent scatter radar systems, at 224 MHz, 931 MHz in Northern Scandinavia and one at 500 MHz on Svalbard, used to study the interaction between the Sun and the Earth as revealed by disturbances in the ionosphere and magnetosphere. At the Ramfjordmoen facility (near Tromsø, Norway) it also operates an ionospheric heater facility, similar to HAARP. Additional receiver stations are located in Sodankylä, Finland, and Kiruna, Sweden. The EISCAT Headquarters are also located in Kiruna.

An ionospheric heater is an array of antennas which are used for heating the ionosphere, and which can create artificial aurora.

According to Yahoo News this anomaly was seen by many people
From Trondelog to Finnmark 500 miles to the North. Maybe they fired up the old EISCAT
to have a little fun with the climate conference...G:

This is some interesting raw video that is apparently viewed from further South than the other one. You can see the beam, worm hole, or whatever is stretching out for miles.

Feds to use unmanned Predator aircraft drones to hunt ocean smugglers

Blacklistednews

Published on 12-08-2009

SAN DIEGO — U.S. Customs and Border Protection on Monday took delivery of its first Predator aircraft drone to scan U.S. waters for smugglers.

The Predator B is expected to begin testing in early 2010 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Base in Florida and be used in the Caribbean to combat drug trafficking.

The plane has an enhanced radar system compared to the Predator B that has been used to combat drug smuggling and movement of illegal immigrants on land borders for four years. CBP operates three drones from Libby Army Airfield in Sierra Vista, Ariz., and two from Grand Forks Air Force Base in North Dakota.

Another Predator B for maritime use is expected at Cape Canaveral in January, said CBP spokesman Juan Munoz-Torres. The agency plans to eventually have 12 drones for land patrols and six for maritime patrols.

The planes can be disassembled and flown in C-130 cargo planes to other locations but it is unlikely that the first plane will be used in San Diego, Munoz-Torres said. The Southern California seas has been the site of a surge in illegal immigrant smuggling from Mexico.

The plane delivered Monday was made by General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc. in Palmdale, north of Los Angeles, for $13.5 million. Future deliveries are expected to cost $11 million to $12 million.

Explosive acts of terror in Baghdad are all about OIL (ongoing industrial larceny)

PREVIEW-Iraq to auction vast oilfields despite bomb attacks

REUTERS

Tue Dec 8, 2009 9:14am EST

By Ahmed Rasheed and Michael Christie

BAGHDAD, Dec 8 (Reuters) - The threat of bombs and violence will compete with the lure of some of the world's most promising oilfields when oil majors fly into Baghdad this week to bid in Iraq's second auction of oil contracts since the U.S. invasion.

The risks, nearly seven years after U.S. forces toppled Saddam Hussein, were on display on Tuesday when a series of car bombs killed 112 people in the capital, rattling the windows of the Oil Ministry where the Dec. 11-12 auction will be held.

Hellish scenes as six bomb blasts rip through Baghdad leaving at least 95 dead and 536 wounded

A series of blasts in Baghdad killed 95 and wounded 536 yesterday.

In Iraq's bloodiest day this year, home forces accepted blame for the security breach after U.S. troops withdrew from urban centres in June.

At least six blasts struck near government ministries and other targets at the heart of Iraq's Shi'ite-led administration.

Analysts said the co-ordinated attacks were a message 'to show the world the insurgents are still there'.

Major General Qassim al-Moussawi, Baghdad's security spokesman, told Iraqi TV: 'This operation shows negligence, and is considered a security breach for which Iraqi forces must take most of the blame.'

The Iraqi government said this month that most of the city's blast walls would be removed within 40 days, a sign of confidence in its security forces before elections in January

Stability force for the United States

Justification and Options for
Creating U.S. Capabilities

Rand Corp.

I cherry picked a few links from this publication
_______________________________________________

*Stability Operations Institute

(PKSOI). Its purpose was to make recommendations to Peacekeeping and Stability Operations Institute (US Army)

*An SPF is a high-end police force that engages in a range
of tasks such as crowd and riot control, special weapons and tactics
(SWAT), and investigations of organized criminal groups.

*Our conclusions are based on several facts and assumptions. First,
it would be optimal to have SPF personnel with civilian police skills,
orientation, and perspective do high-end policing.

*The Need for a Stability Force
Our analysis clearly indicates that the United States needs an SPF or
some other way to accomplish the SPF mission. Stability operations
have become an inescapable reality of U.S. foreign policy. Establishing
security with soldiers and police is critical because it is difficult to
achieve other objectives—such as rebuilding political and economic
systems—without it.

*In some cases,
allied countries may be able to fill this gap. Allies did this effectively
in Bosnia and Kosovo, both of which were successful in establishing
security. In other cases, the United States may not be able to count on
allied support. The United States should not depend on allies to supply
these capabilities, because doing so would limit U.S. freedom of action
on the international stage. Consequently, the United States should seriously
consider building a high-end police capacity.

*we concluded that there are three main
sizing options for an SPF that we would consider: 1,000 police; 4,000
police; and 6,000 police. It would be even more difficult and resourceintensive
to mount stability operations in larger countries such as Iran,
Pakistan, the Philippines, Nigeria, and Venezuela.

*Headquarters in the U.S. Government
Of the options considered, this research indicates that the U.S. Marshals
Service (USMS) would be the most likely to successfully field an
SPF, under the assumptions that an MP option would not be permitted
to conduct policing missions in the United States outside of military
installations except under extraordinary circumstances, and that doing
so is essential to maintaining required skills.

*The authors would like to thank the numerous U.S. and European
government officials and scholars who made time in their busy schedules
to talk about policing during stability operations. Of particular
help were Lieutenant Colonel Donald Bohn, who was responsible for
the project in the U.S. Army’s Peacekeeping and Stability Operations
Institute, and his colleagues at PKSOI who shared their insights with
us: Colonel John Agoglia, the PKSOI Director, and Colonel Thomas
Pope. We would also like to thank Lieutenant Colonel Anthony W.
Johnson of PKSOI who took over responsibility for this project after
Colonel Bohn retired.
Others who were generous with their time included Arthur Roderick,
Assistant Director of the U.S. Marshals Service; Richard Mayer
and Robert Gifford of the State Department’s Bureau for International,
Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs; Robert “Carr” Trevillian of
the Department of Justice’s International Criminal Investigation Training
Assistance Program; Raymond Kelly, the New York City Police
Commissioner; Colonel Domenico Libertini, Commander of the Multinational
Specialized Unit in Pristina, Kosovo; and Gert Besselink,
Deputy Commander of the European Gendarmerie Force. Finally,
Charlotte Lynch of RAND provided important technical assistance
that contributed to the quality of this document. All errors remain the
responsibility of the authors.

The Bahá'í World Centre at the base of Mt Carmel

Shrine of the Báb and its associated terraces at the Bahá'í World Centre

The Bahá'í Arc from the International Archives building

Bahá'í World Centre

The Bahá'í World Centre is the name given to the administrative centre of the Bahá'í Faith. Based in Haifa, Israel, the Bahá'í World Centre is recognizable by the gardens that dominate the area of Mount Carmel directly above the sea port. The Bahá'í World Centre is also the current destination for Bahá'í pilgrimage.

Many of the locations at the Bahá'í World Centre, including the terraces and the Shrine of the Báb which constitute the north slope of Mount Carmel were inscribed on the World Heritage List in July 2008.[1][2]
History

The location of the administrative centre was a result of the banishment and imprisonment of Bahá'u'lláh, when he was sent to the penal colony of `Akká in 1868. He lived out the rest of his life and died in that area, passing away in 1892. The location of the Shrine of the Báb was indicated by Bahá'u'lláh to his son `Abdu'l-Bahá during a visit to Haifa. The establishing of the administrative centre on Mount Carmel was indicated also by Bahá'u'lláh in his Tablet of Carmel, which is considered one of the charter documents of the Bahá'í administration.

During Shoghi Effendi's time as the head of the Bahá'í Faith, the British Mandate of Palestine was dealing with a growing conflict between Zionists and Arabs in the region of Palestine. With the failure of the mandate in 1948, and the resulting 1948 Arab-Israeli War, the majority of the Bahá'ís in Palestine left the country and only Shoghi Effendi and a few others remained behind. In 1963 the first Universal House of Justice was elected, with its seat in Haifa, and was recognized by the Israeli government as the legal head of the Bahá'í Faith.

Uniquely, despite the presence of several hundred volunteer staff in Haifa and `Akká, there is no formal community of Bahá'ís in Israel in the sense that there are no Nineteen Day Feasts, assemblies, etc. Additionally, since the days of Bahá'u'lláh, Bahá'ís have observed a self-imposed ban on teaching their religion to the local population of Israel. Formal declarations of faith by Israelis are not accepted. In a letter dated 1995, the Universal House of Justice wrote:
“ ...the people in Israel have access to factual information about the Faith, its history and general principles. Books concerning the Faith are available in libraries throughout Israel, and Israelis are welcome to visit the Shrines and the surrounding gardens. However, in keeping with a policy that has been strictly followed since the days of Bahá'u'lláh, Bahá'ís do not teach the Faith in Israel. Likewise, the Faith is not taught to Israelis abroad if they intend to return to Israel. When Israelis ask about the Faith, their questions are answered, but this is done in a manner which provides factual information without stimulating further interest.

Mt. Carmel: A holy place since ancient times

University of Haifa atop Mount Carmel in 1996

A view of Mount Carmel in 1894

Google image of Mt. Carmel, which runs SouthWest from the point of this peninsula. Haifa University is the large building near the lower right corner of the picture.

Geography and geology

The phrase Mount Carmel has been used in three distinct ways:

* To refer to the 39 km-long (24-mile long) mountain range, stretching as far in the southeast as Jenin.
* To refer to the northwestern 19 km (12 miles) of the mountain range.
* To refer to the headland at the northwestern end of the range.

The Carmel range is approximately 6.5 to 8 km (4 to 5 miles) wide, sloping gradually towards the southwest, but forming a steep ridge on the northeastern face, 525.4 m (1,742 ft) high. The Jezreel Valley lies to the immediate northeast. The range forms a natural barrier in the landscape, just as the Jezreel Valley forms a natural passageway, and consequently the mountain range and the valley has had a large impact on migration and invasions through the Levant over time. The mountain formation is an admixture of limestone and flint, containing many caves, and covered in several volcanic rocks. The sloped side of the mountain is covered with luxuriant vegetation, including oak, pine, olive, and laurel trees.

Several modern towns are located on the range, including Yokneam on the eastern ridge, Zikhron Ya'aqov on the southern slope, the Druze town of Carmel City on the more central part of the ridge, and the towns of Nesher, Tirat Hakarmel, and the city of Haifa, on the far northwestern promontory and its base. There is also a small kibbutz called Bet Oren, which is located on one of the highest points in the range to the southeast of Haifa.

Unfortunately neither Google Earth or wikipedia will locate this Kibbutz, but if it's on one of the highest points in the range, it must be around the Haifa University.

Early history

The History of Haifa dates back to the 3rd century B.C. Since then it has been controlled by several civilizations, including the Canaanites, Israelites, Romans, Byzantines, Arabs, Crusaders, Kurds, the Mamluks, the Ottoman Turks and it is currently a major city in Israel. Today, it is a mixed city of Jews and Arab citizens of Israel.

History of occupation

Occupation date April 23rd,1948

Attacking Israeli force

The Zionist forces were made up of 5,000 soldiers mostly organized by Haganah (Carmeli Brigade) and some IZL troops. The attack on Arab Haifa started on the 21st of April and was initiated from Hadara Ha Carmel (Haifa's Jewish neighborhood), which aimed to split the city into three separate and isolated pockets (operation Misbarayim meaning scissor)

The best Sci Fi is reality and makes us thankful for tinfoil. What I see here is a collage of things that I've read and experienced through the years in addition to some that I've never heard of, but I have a hunch that I can find references to all of them on the Googleplex. Reality, tinfoil, or Sci-Fi, this is an edifying presentation that tickles my aha spot. I have a difficult time resisting a catagory so that I will be able to file it, like I guess it is a control issue, but for now I'll accept it for reality and hope that it isn't an H G Wells thing...G:

Main stream media does business as usual while history is being made

I was looking at CNN last night, expecting the usual MSM spin, but what I saw was a huge omission of what was happening on the streets, not only of Tehran, but throughout Iran. They even tried to show what looked like comparable demonstrations by pro Ahmadinajad groups, while downplaying the largest demonstrations since the Iranian Revolution of 1979. Is it just me, or does the main stream media seem to be asleep while history is being made?

This is it. The big one

Q&A with Clay Shirky on Twitter and Iran

NYU professor Clay Shirky gave a fantastic talk on new media during our TED@State event earlier this month. He revealed how cellphones, the web, Facebook and Twitter had changed the rules of the game, allowing ordinary citizens extraordinary new powers to impact real-world events. As protests in Iran exploded over the weekend, we decided to rush out his talk, because it could hardly be more relevant. I caught up with Clay this afternoon to get his take on the significance of what is happening. HIs excitement was palpable.

What do you make of what's going on in Iran right now.
I'm always a little reticent to draw lessons from things still unfolding, but it seems pretty clear that ... this is it. The big one. This is the first revolution that has been catapulted onto a global stage and transformed by social media. I've been thinking a lot about the Chicago demonstrations of 1968 where they chanted "the whole world is watching." Really, that wasn't true then. But this time it's true ... and people throughout the world are not only listening but responding. They're engaging with individual participants, they're passing on their messages to their friends, and they're even providing detailed instructions to enable web proxies allowing Internet access that the authorities can't immediately censor. That kind of participation is reallly extraordinary.

Which services have caused the greatest impact? Blogs? Facebook? Twitter?
It's Twitter. One thing that Evan (Williams) and Biz (Stone) did absolutely right is that they made Twitter so simple and so open that it's easier to integrate and harder to control than any other tool. At the time, I'm sure it wasn't conceived as anything other than a smart engineering choice. But it's had global consequences. Twitter is shareable and open and participatory in a way that Facebook's model prevents. So far, despite a massive effort, the authorities have found no way to shut it down, and now there are literally thousands of people arond the world who've made it their business to help keep it open.

An early Republican viewpoint

"The prudent, penniless beginner in the world, labors for wages awhile, saves a surplus with which to buy tools or land for himself, then labors on his own account another while, and at length hires another new beginner to help him. This is the just and generous and prosperous system, which opens the way to all, gives hope to all, and consequent energy and progress, and improvement of condition to all. No men living are more worthy to be trusted than those who toil up from poverty--none less inclined to take or touch aught which they have not honestly earned. Let them beware of surrendering a political power which they already possess, and which, if surrendered, will surely be used to close the door of advancement against such as they, and to fix new disabilities and burdens upon them, till all of liberty shall be lost."

Abraham Lincoln
